I really started something last spring with the addition of Hope the wayward fairy. My neighborhood now hosts several fairy homes, gnome huts, and even two runaway dinosaurs. I don't know what brought them to this lowly end, but they have taken roost on the utility substation a block from my library. They seem to like it there, weathering two hurricanes and numerous thunderstorms and wind. They don't have a fancy home, but seem happy as two little guys could be. I've named them Brutus and Sam.
Hope and Lov-E made two new friends, Twinkle and Tinkle. The are brother and sister. They moved into adjoining homes under the big oak between Hope and Lov-E. Their homes have been known to relocate closer and farther from each other, depending on how they are getting along.
Lov-E's new home is becoming a palatial estate. Her humans have invested much of their time and love in furnishing her a home as lovely as she is. The youngest of the two girls even had a full-blown FAIRY birthday celebration this year.
Hope's home is in need of repair before spring, so she may take a trip to Florida while its done. The inclement weather this year did a number on her home, but she never lost her Christmas decorations, amazing. We need all the fairy help we can get! I'm hoping this trend continues. #fairies #littlefreelibrary #michelenimtz
